Swedish TikTok sensation Iza Cryssanthander became a global social media star with her TikTok account, IzaAndElle, which she launched with her twin sister, Elle. Both Iza and Elle were trained in ballet in childhood and have also played football for IFK Stocksund. The sisters became the biggest Swedish TikTokers when they hit 1.5 million followers on the platform in 2017. They also created a record for the largest numbers of girls dancing in a Musical.ly (TikTok) video.

Early Life

Iza Cryssanthander and her twin sister, Elle, are from Stocksund, near Stockholm. The sisters trained in ballet and football as kids. They later joined the Ballet Academy in Stockholm and played for the local football team IFK Stocksund. The sisters did not sit together in school, so that their teachers wouldn’t be confused.

Social Media Career

Iza Cryssanthander soared to global fame with the TikTok account IzaAndElle, which she launched with her twin sister, Elle. The sisters entertain their fans with their dance and lip-sync videos. In December 2016, the twins earned their TikTok verification crown. Their TikTok account, has, over the years, gained millions of followers.

One of their TikTok clips, which was part of the #MultiplePhoneChallenge, was inspired by Belgian dancer Stein Edlund. The sisters also collaborated with Nina and Isa of the TikTok duo Isanina. One of the twins’ videos was set to the track Wild Thoughts by DJ Khaled, while another featured them performing trampoline back flips.

On January 1, 2013, they launched their YouTube channel. The channel mostly posts content on makeup, travel, and daily routines, and has gained thousands of subscribers. They are also popular on Instagram, where their account, _izaandelle_, has gained thousands of followers.

They own their own merchandise brand Creative Social Club, which is managed by their mother. On June 20, 2017, the twins set a world record. At an event co-hosted by their football club, IFK Stocksund, the sisters gathered 114 girls to dance for a Musical.ly (now TikTok) video in the middle of a football field. This was the largest number of girls that danced for one Musical.ly video. The same year, the sisters gained over 1.5 million followers on Musical.ly, thus becoming the biggest Swedish account on the social media platform.

The sisters also use Snapchat to collect questions from their fans that they later answer in their YouTube Q&A videos. They have won awards, such as Nickelodeon Sweden's Favorite Muse (2018) and Sweden's Favorite Influencer (2019). They have also appeared in series and been featured in the book Tvillingboken by Susanne Nylén.

Family Life

Though Iza and Elle are identical twins, they have some differences too. Iza has a thinner face compared to Elle’s more round facial structure. Iza also has a red mark on her cheek. In fact, Iza is a minute older than Elle. To help their fans recognize them, Iza appears on the left side of their TikTok videos.

The sisters are daughters of Lell and Stina Cryssanthander. They have an older sister, Smilla, who is an editor, cinematographer, and a social media star.

Growing up, Elle and Iza shared a room and a playroom, but Iza took over the playroom later.
